Viveros Orero will expand and modernize its mesh structures to be protected against different disease vectors. Plant production is a strategic sector of agriculture, with the consequent movement of plants around the world. In a context of continuous climate change, the protection of our varieties is a critical point in the production chain. For this reason, the protection structures against insect vectors of quarantine diseases will be modified and expanded with antivirus meshes for our certified material. These actions will allow us to continue complying with our biosecurity protocols regarding plant health, ensuring healthy material for farmers. This project has been co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) with the objective of improving biosafety in nurseries, undertaken by certain producers of plant reproductive materials, within the Plan to promote the sustainability and competitiveness of agriculture and livestock, within the framework of the recovery, transformation and resilience plan.
